The "Tourist Center TV Tower" completed in May 1957 was renamed "Beppu Tower" in 1961. Designed by Tachyu Naito, the world's authoritative architect of high-rise buildings known as "Tower Expert.", it is the third tower built in Japan among the six "Tower Brothers" (Nagoya, Osaka, Beppu, Sapporo, Tokyo, Hakata) . In October 2007, Beppu Tower was designated as a "National Registered Tangible Cultural Property." The height is 100m to the top, the Observation Deck on the 17th floor is 55m above the ground, the 4th to 1st floors are shops, and the 5th floor is a terrace. From the observation deck consisting of two floors, you can have a panoramic view of Beppu city, neighboring areas and Shikoku.

Kitahama Terrace -Sky Terrace-

- The rooftop "Kitahama Terrace" on the 5th floor is covered with grass, allowing visitors to look up at the tower up close with great intensity. At night, a set of colorfully glowing tables is set up, creating a fantastic atmosphere. There is also a "Shining Step Board" that plays a melody when you step on it, and a pink door! Beyond it, there is a "happy bell", so please try ringing it. Your wish may come true! Further up the stairs is the "Intermediate Observation Deck. You can also enjoy the outdoor observation deck.

The Queen's Echo Beppu Tower store is located on the 4th floor of Beppu Tower. Tropical-style entrance, hammock room, room with stage for banquets of more than 20 people, Japanese-style room with garden. In addition, we offer an extensive food menu and soft drinks for banquets, girls' parties and after parties, as well as more than 100 types of drinks such as various cocktails, draft beers, wines and shochu. Of course, there is also an all-you-can-drink plan.

There are more than 400 objects on display, including paintings of celebrities, famous painters, sculptures and antiques, some of which are for sale. In addition, award-winning Oita painter Eiko Kano has a permanent exhibition room and studio. Beppu Tower was reformed in March 2022, now here is also exhibiting a model of Beppu Tower. We are also active in urban cultural events, providing venues for solo and special exhibitions.
